NogWorld

We’ve had the opportunity to develop a few iPhone applications, and this is perhaps one of our favorites. After bringing the company through some strategic ideas for several applications, we landed on DocNOG. This app allows you to find a physician by segmenting it by zip code, insurance provider and specialty. This is very handy when I recently was traveling to California and needed an internal medicine doc in my Blue Cross Network. I found one within two miles from where I was staying.

We also assisted HealthNog develop a 50-page concept for a baby boomer web site for managing health and wellness. The concept was used to help HealthNog expose the idea to investors for funding and development.

In addition to developing the logo and corporate identity, we also led the naming of the company, NogWorld, the brand subsidiary, HealthNog and the application. We came up with the “NOG” idea to help brand the system, using a simple word that gave the brand legs. In other words, having a strategy is one level, but putting a creative layer over the top makes it easy for the public to understand and adopt into their language. The word “NOG” is a new-school technical feel that helps us register multiple domains across all industries that are actually available, and gives us some legroom to develop concepts like “become a nogger” (a play on blogger) and a headline like “Use your Nog.”

Currently the application and proven beta is being pitched to health insurance carriers and is receiving active interest as an acquisition.
