Why More Cabbage Acquired Vincent Burkhead Studio
The heartbeat of our company is design and branding. I simply like to create beautiful stuff. I can’t help it. I like late nights designing the details just so I can see clients swoon and fall over each other during presentations!
In an age of accelerated change, and at a time when there is hardly a single person who can do it all, we decided it was time to take the strategic move to purchase a design studio, under which we can tuck our creative staff.
I’ve worked on many projects with Vince Burkhead over a ten year period, and it seemed the right time to acquire the firm. We also look forward to extending marketing support to our new San Diego area clientele with the added value of Monthly Web Services and Social Media PR. I count it a privilege to work with such a talented team of VBS artists who understand business. It's also not just an investment in an opportunity, but an investment in a friendship that has a long history of synergy.
The work that Vince’s team has delivered for us is detailed. Illustrative. Iconographic. Passionate. It is a differentiated look for any industry, and yet, it also embodies my personal style of art direction and design. See vincentburkhead.com
Over the last five years, I’ve noticed that there has been a “dumbing down” of graphical and brand identity quality on-line. This is because designers have been forced to fit their ideas into pixelated boundaries, templates, or work in the context of code, such as CSS. Not so with More Cabbage. A great designer understands the complexities and opportunities with technology and can innovate as “a technology creative.” This is our new, revived, More Cabbage creative team.
What we want: an excellent command of creativity and branding in the Social Web space. It will differentiate us from all other firms. Clients will grow their businesses. I am sure of it.
So we say welcome to Vincent Burkhead, as well as Joseph, Rob, Amanda, Lisa and Mark. You’re in the Cabbage Patch now.
